We're heartbroken to share that Brieanna Garcia passed away on the morning of September 11th, 2025. Brie was a light in the lives of so many and a beloved mother, daughter, sister, partner, and friend. Her absence leaves a tremendous hole in this world and the lives of all who loved her.
Brie leaves behind her greatest joy, her two-year-old son, Elias. Elias is a medically complex child who requires ongoing, specialized care and has a long journey ahead with an upcoming surgery. This GoFundMe has been created on behalf of Brie's mother, Jackie, who will be leaving her current employment to help provide full-time care. The family is navigating unimaginable grief while also trying to ensure that Elias is able to access the resources he needs. Additionally, this GoFundMe will help support the costs of a funeral and memorial service for Brie.
Immediate fundraising goals:
- Covering funeral and memorial expenses.
- Supporting Elias's upcoming (9/16) brain surgery for Chiari malformation.
- Paying outstanding hospital and medical bills related to Brie's passing.
- Obtaining legal aid.
- Securing reliable transportation for Elias's father so he can remain actively involved in his care.
- Covering lost income as Jackie steps away from her work to provide full-time care for Elias.
