I woke up to what I thought would be a “normal day” for me. I got up with intentions to get ready for my afternoon nanny gig. I leaned over at the edge of my nightstand to reach for an important bracelet that had fallen off the table the night before. I lost balance, crashing into the table and banging the side of my head/face on the corner of the table. I was knocked unconscious.

It’s not certain for how long exactly I was down before my beloved mother found me, passed out face first on the side of my bed. However, I suffered a bleed to the brain and compartment syndrome in my left leg. This was the beginning of a 2-month-long battle for my life.

A year later, I have healed in my head, my facial scars have been cleaned up (thanks to cocoa butter and a mother’s love!), but I have lost feeling and movement in my left foot due to the compartment syndrome surgery.

I have recently been approved for a second procedure on the left leg that will be able to bring back feeling and better close up my original surgery scar! To GOD be the glory! However, insurance will not cover the full cost of surgery, recovery, and therapy afterward. I am asking for any support and genuine prayers, with complete appreciation for even your kind words!
