Bridgette Johnson is a talented tattoo artist, a mother, and a beloved member of our local community. As a fellow tattoo artist, I've seen firsthand how much she gives to her clients. Recently, Bridgette faced a serious illness that led to hospitalization, and she's now home but still has a road of recovery ahead. Being self-employed, she doesn't have the safety net of paid sick days, which makes this time especially challenging for her. Bridgette shared that she was able to be released from the hospital and is now done with IV antibiotics and fluids. She still has a two-week at-home recovery ahead, finishing up oral antibiotics and pain medication. She's received a formal diagnosis—something she will have to manage for the rest of her life. While she's hopeful and following her recovery plan, there's always a chance she could be hospitalized again. She has important follow-up appointments coming up, but for now, she's grateful to be home and focused on healing. During this time, Bridgette has been unable to work, and the missed income is making it hard to keep up with bills and living expenses. That's why I'm reaching out to our community. If you've ever been touched by Bridgette's art, her kindness, or her presence in the tattoo world, or are a business owner in the community, now is the time to show your support. Every contribution will help her focus on getting better without the added stress of financial worries. Thank you for standing with Bridgette and helping her through this difficult chapter—let’s take some stress off her plate.
