I’m raising funds to take part in a service-learning trip to Honduras focused on youth empowerment and sustainable, community-led development. This experience centers learning in solidarity, not charity—working alongside local partners like OYE and learning directly from Honduran youth leaders who are strengthening their communities in the face of long-standing social and economic challenges.
Through mentorship, dialogue, and hands-on service, I’ll explore how postcolonial power structures shape community security and youth development, while supporting projects that promote positive peace and resilience. This program is deeply rooted in preparation and reflection, equipping participants to engage ethically, listen first, and act responsibly.
Your support will help cover travel and program costs for me, Bridget. I’m grateful for any contribution and for believing in the importance of learning from communities, uplifting youth leadership, and investing in meaningful, community-centered change. My recent class in intercultural relations has really inspired me to work more with people on the ground and those directly affected by human rights violations and other challenges all around the world.
Please consider donating to my Go Fund Me and help me Get to Honduras in March!
