Hi. I'm Bridget McLemore and I'm reaching out to raise funds to help keep my family afloat while my dad recovers from hip surgery. He'll be 76 in September. He fell and broke his hip in three places on February 23, 2026. After the surgery, wherein the surgeon placed a bar in his hip and a pin in his femur, he was able to use his walker in the hospital. However, once he was discharged and brought home, he had quite a bit of trouble getting around, to the point of being bedridden for nearly a week.
While he can get up for very short periods of time, it is incredibly taxing for him. My mom has been nursing him as best she can. My fiancé, who lives with us as well, has been a great help with this. HomeHealth nurses and physical therapists have been out to see him.
He's on Medicare and a fixed income from social security. Mom is a part-time worker/retiree, only she hasn't been able to go to work much since this began. You see, I was in the hospital before my dad was; I had sepsis and two abscesses. The day I came home from the hospital was the day my dad fell. Mom has had very little rest and very little opportunity to work since our ordeal began.
I'm asking for your donations to help us pay our bills while we try to get ourselves back on our feet, in more ways than one.
