**Help Us Stay Afloat During Tough Times**

Hi everyone,

I’m Briar, and I’m reaching out today with a heavy heart to ask for help. My wife, Deanna, and I are going through a really tough time right now, and we need your support.

**Deanna’s Health Struggles:**

Deanna has been dealing with a serious medical issue that’s left her unable to work for several weeks. She’s been focused on recovery, but it’s been difficult. The time off has taken a toll not only on her health but on our financial situation as well. Medical bills and everyday expenses are adding up, and with Deanna unable to work for now, it’s becoming harder to make ends meet.

**My Struggle to Find Work:**

On top of that, I’m also in a tough spot. I’ve been searching for work for months, but as a trans woman living in Alabama, finding a stable job is extremely challenging. I’ve faced discrimination and closed doors, and it’s been discouraging to say the least. I’m doing everything I can to stay positive and keep applying, but it’s been a slow and difficult process, and right now, I’m struggling.

**What We Need:**

Right now, we’re asking for help to cover the basics. Your donations will go directly toward:

- **Bills**: We need help keeping a roof over our heads and staying up-to-date with essential bills like utilities, phone service, and other daily expenses.

- **Groceries and food**: We need to make sure we have enough food to get through the weeks ahead. With both of us out of work for the time being, it’s hard to stretch what we have.

- **Medical and recovery-related costs**: Deanna’s recovery isn’t quick, and we’re facing extra costs that insurance won’t cover.

We’ve always worked hard to support ourselves, but right now, we’re in a position where we need to ask for a little help. If you’re able to contribute, any amount would mean the world to us.
