Support Brian's Urgent CT Scan Fund
Donation protected
We never thought we’d be asking for help for medical bills but here we are. I’m Brian’s wife, and Brian has had a large lump on the side of his neck for a few months. Unfortunately he doesn’t have medical insurance at this time. We were able to get him into an urgent care and all they’ve done so far is blood work, and they’ve yet to “analyze” it and get back to us. They called us and said they want to do a CT scan - with a 74% discount it’s still $700. With me being at home with the baby and not working, we won’t have that in the next few weeks. We’re asking our friends, family, and kind strangers to donate to help us face these medical bills as we find out what’s going on with my sweet husband. If you see the goal amount change, it’s because we acquired more quotes/bills associated with this.
thank you to everyone who has donated or shared this fundraiser!! We appreciate your support and generosity!
update post from Facebook:
Hey everyone,
I wanted to give a quick update about Brian.
We still don’t have final answers about what’s going on with his neck, but we do have a little more information. Last Monday morning, Brian went to Urgent Care to get checked out. They did blood work and scheduled a CT scan for that Friday. We got the results in MyChart that afternoon, and even though the doctor hadn’t called yet, it was pretty clear something was wrong.
The scan showed two large masses near his jugular vein and some enlarged lymph nodes. After talking with a few family and friends in the medical field, we decided to go to the ER at UAMS.
On Monday morning, we went in. They did more blood work, another CT scan, and an internal scope to get a better look. They decided to do a needle biopsy and planned to admit him while waiting for an opening. By Wednesday morning, they took him to get prepped for the biopsy. As soon as he came back from the procedure, they let us go home.
Now he’s taking it easy and resting while we wait on the biopsy results to find out if these masses are benign or something more serious. We’ll share an update as soon as we can.
We just want to say thank you to everyone who has called, texted, or checked in on us. It really means a lot. I’m resharing the GoFundMe to help us get ahead on the ER bills. We’re working on getting Medicaid, but right now we don’t know for sure if he’ll qualify.
Please keep our family in your thoughts and prayers. It’s scary knowing something is wrong and not knowing how bad it is yet. Please pray for peace for Brian as he gets ready to go back to work, for relief from the pain in his neck, and for our boys who missed their dad so much while he was in the hospital.
Thank you again for all the love and support. It means more than you know.
