Support Brian's Road to Healing
Donation protected
Friday, May 2nd, Brian jumped on his little 125 motorcycle to grab dinner and didn’t make it back home. When his wife Danielle couldn’t get a hold of him, she walked outside and saw the flashing lights less than two blocks from their house. When she arrived on the scene, all she saw was his motorcycle, his helmet, and the car that hit him.
Brian is a fighter, but no less than 3 miracles needed to happen for him to still be with us today. An off-duty firefighter happened to be bicycling by and was able to make a tourniquet, which literally saved his life. An off-duty police officer lived a few doors down and had another one when he needed it before the ambulance got there. He has been riding for 35 years and was wearing a really great helmet…which isn’t required in his state.
After a few very scary hours, and a few days in ICU, he is going to make it! He had severe injuries (brain bleed, 2 broken arms, broken knee and some pieces through his leg, 3 broken bones in his back, broken ribs, etc.)…but he will walk, is joking and in high spirits, and has a long road of recovery ahead of him.
Our family has received so many outreaches of support, love, and well wishes, and I’m incredibly grateful for every one of them. We tell Brian daily how so many people are pouring good juju into every corner of the Universe for him. He is going to be out of work for several months, and will have a ton of things that need some support.
For everyone who has already given of yourself, thank you! For all that keep asking what you can do, I’m starting this to support them during this long journey! Thank you for every prayer, call, text, dollar, and minute of good energy. We will take it.
