Support Brian's Recovery: Help His Family
Donation protected
This GoFundMe account has been created to provide a means for family and friends to support Brian and Cecilia during this medical emergency and also get updated information about Brians conditions.
The support and financial donations contributed here will directly go towards paying for hotel and food assistance for Cecilia (and Kyran) while staying here in Denver over the foreseeable future.
Various people have reached out offering to buy a hotel room and food, so rather than dealing with the logistical challenges of doing that on a one by one basis, the donations here collectively will help fund that.

This entire crisis has been extremely challenging for Brian, my mother Cecilia, and myself. As you can imagine, the stress, pressures, and fear have been astounding to say the least. My mother and I have been having a hard time sleeping, remaining bedside with Brian in the ICU, and keeping up with updating Family and Friends of the latest updates. You could understand that messaging Cecilia questions can add to the overwhelming feelings already present, so please refrain if possible.
If you do have questions or simply would like to send a heartwarming message, please do relay those to me (Kyran) via this Facebook link > ( FB Messenger )
I will do my best to keep this GoFundMe page updated with the latest information, but if you wish to contact please do reach out to me and NOT Cecilia.
Thank you all for the continued support and prayers!

Summary of situation:
In the early morning of April 9th Brian suffered a heart attack, resulting in him being taken by ambulance to a local Colorado Springs emergency room. There, doctors inserted stents to open the passage ways to his heart. Nearly immediately after, the stents collapsed and he went into another heart attack, this time major, sending him into full cardiac arrest.
After 20 minutes of relentless CPR, the doctors were able to get him on a life support machine known as an ECMO. This device essentially took over the functions of his heart and lungs.
While in full a coma, it was soon discovered that he would need to be transferred to Denver for further escalated assistance at the UC Health University of Colorado, Anschutz campus where dedicated cardiology professionals would take over his care in the ICU.
There he remains in the ICU, getting the critical life support and care needed to establish a stable enough environment to further asses his conditions and next steps for care.
