Support Brian's Medical Journey and Family

On behalf of many who have asked how they can support our family on our journey, I have prepared this fundraiser. Our desire is to share with our community, family, friends, and strangers near and far in a practical way, which is to help navigate the finances of Brian’s current and future medical care, and the emergent need to help with monthly bills and the mortgage of our house.

Asking for financial support right now is one of the hardest things for us to do, so we really appreciate you taking the time to read about our situation.

My name is Nicole Woxland, and my fiancé is Brian Taylor. The reason we are seeking immediate help is to find a way to support our family. My fiancé, Brian, was admitted to the hospital unexpectedly on July 3rd, 2024. It was discovered that he had developed a severe bone infection and cellulitis, which required emergency surgery. He had to have a partial foot amputation because the infection was much worse than the doctors or we anticipated or thought.

Unfortunately, because he had just transferred and started a new position for work, his benefit enrollment is not until this fall; along with insufficient sick leave or vacation hours to cover the doctor’s recommendations for his work release.

We have already been really struggling just to stay afloat during this time. And this new position was promising and going to get us back on track. He is unable to work for at least 4 weeks right now, and depending on his follow-up appointments, maybe longer. Without his income, we will not be able to afford our mortgage or our monthly bills, which have already fallen behind for the month.

Right now, I am his main caretaker, and I have also been dealing with current health issues. Our friends and family have encouraged Brian and I to be humble enough to reach out to others like you to join in providing for these current and upcoming uncovered medical expenses and living expenses. I do believe, and know, that God will provide for us if we do our part in reaching out to others for this help.
