In May 2024, I had a partial foot amputation due to complications from diabetes. On February 5th, I was admitted to the Seattle VA hospital with a serious infection, which resulted in a below-the-knee amputation. While this surgery was difficult, it will ultimately improve my mobility and quality of life with a prosthetic.
I’ve been unable to work during my recovery and need help covering car insurance, registration tabs, and essential bills so I can return to work in April. Many people don’t know that in May 2024, I underwent a transmetatarsal amputation on my right foot after complications from diabetes. At that time, doctors recommended a below-the-knee amputation, but I wasn’t ready for the longer recovery. I chose the partial amputation, knowing that one day I might still need a prosthetic. That day has come.
I'm grateful for any support during this challenging time. Your help will make a real difference as I work toward recovery and getting back on my feet.
