Help Brian Sproston Fight Guillain-Barré Syndrome and Rebuild Life at Home and Work.
Brian and his sons are facing an unexpected and life-changing challenge.
Brian has recently been diagnosed with Guillain-Barré Syndrome (GBS), a rare neurological condition that has left him unable to walk. In addition, he is battling Dry Beriberi, which has caused severe nerve damage and weakness. Right now, we do not know how long recovery will take or when he will be able to walk independently again.
As he focuses on returning to work, healing, and rehabilitation, their home must be slightly modified to meet his new physical needs. We are raising funds to help cover the cost of building a wheelchair-accessible ramp, purchasing necessary medical equipment, and making essential accommodations so he can safely live at home during recovery.
The financial burden of medical care, equipment, therapy, deductibles, and home modifications is overwhelming, and any support will make a meaningful difference for our family.
Your donation will help provide:
A wheelchair-accessible ramp
Medical and mobility equipment
Home accessibility modifications
Transportation and rehabilitation-related expenses
Ongoing recovery support
If you are unable to donate, please consider sharing this fundraiser with your friends, family, and community.
Thank you for your kindness, prayers, encouragement, and support during this difficult time. Every donation, no matter the amount, helps bring hope and relief as Brian works toward recovery and walking again.
Together, we can help Brian regain independence and focus on healing.
Brian is 53 and a Service Director at McGrath Volkswagen Hyundai in Dubuque, Iowa.
He has 3 sons and a grandson who is a year and a half. The loss of walking has really been challenging, but he is working every day to get back to normal days.
