My father Brian Hammond had a massive heart attack on May 8th, him being the stubborn strong man that he is he waited 4 days to go to the hospital. He was shipped to Bangor to have a heart cath done and the damage was too severe for them to do anything, he was intubated and his heart was too weak to beat on its own so they placed a heart pump on both sides and he was life flighted to Portland. Today he underwent another surgery where the amazing doctor rolled the dice and went in to attempt to unblock his left aorta which was a huge chance and was able to place 3 stints in. Dad is still on life support and still has both heart pumps in and is definitely not out of the woods yet but there is hope thank God. Dad is a kind soul and would give the shirt off his back for anyone in need. Just asking for help with medical bills to help lift the burden. If unable to donate please share!
