Support Brian's Family During this Difficult Time

My name is Brian Tripp, I have lived in North Carolina my whole life, and have been a long distance truck driver for the last 22 years. Recently, I was diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer. As I am sure you can imagine, this has been very difficult news for me and my family. The doctors have advised that with treatment, I have 6-11 months. I have started treatment, as I am doing everything in my power to give my family and myself as much time as possible, but I am not able to work. The treatments are harsh, and make the recipient very sick. Truck driving is not an option right now.

This was not in our "plan" and has therefore thrown us for a loop regarding scheduled retirement, life savings, and financial goals as a whole. I am doing this GoFundMe to ensure that my wife is able to cover the mortgage, as she only draws Social Security benefits. She is 69 years old and retired. She is not physically in a position where she could work full time again.

We have been working our land and home as a homestead for the last 12 years. Literally all of our plans are right here, on this land and in this house. The thought of my family not having this place, for gatherings and holidays, is heartbreaking.
