Hi friends!!!! I’m Maria, Brian’s oldest niece! I want to tell you all about my Uncle Brian and his story! He is the kind of man who never gives up, who has been through much adversity. Brian faced cancer once already at 17 yrs old and yes Brian beat it! His life has been one that many encouraging stories have been told about. Brian dedicated his life to helping others through his career choice of being a police officer to coaching kids. Brian is now retired, and he and his wife moved to Ashland, OH. Their plans, like most couples who worked hard and felt they had done things right, was to travel and spend time with their sons, family, and friends. Soon after the move, Brian woke up having a stroke. He found out he had a quarter sized hole in his heart and needed it repaired. At the same time, he was told he had to have cervical surgery to avoid being paralyzed. Did he give up? Absolutely not. He prevailed. After almost 2 yrs of physical therapy and surgeries, he was then faced with serious blood clots. He beat that, too. Just when he thought things were normalizing, he was diagnosed with lymphoma. Brian and Tammy aren't ones to ask for help. So we are doing it for them. Everyone knows the expenses, the medical deductibles, and just general burden cancer takes on a family, so we've decided to run this campaign to help them. Our goal is to help with Brian's medical insurance deductible and some expenses they'll face. They are still chipping away at the very large medical debt from the last 3 years. Please consider donating, we know they'll appreciate it so very much!
