Support Brian's Battle

Our brother and friend, Brian Tylicki, was recently diagnosed with early onset of Alzheimers the day before his 50th birthday. As many of you are aware, our family has experience with Alzheimer’s after our father, Walt, was diagnosed at age of 56. The idea of facing this difficult diagnosis alone is a scary proposition for both Jen and Brian. The many facets of this battle are unknown at this time. We have spoken with others facing this disease. Brian has a traditional neurologist and we are searching for other ways to delay decline through lifestyle changes. Brian has an upcoming appointment with Dr. Angela Katzer, a functional medicine doctor at Sastun Direct to gather additional information and create a personalized plan for him. The plan could include an exercise program, work with a nutritionist as well as nutrient and vitamin supports. Functional medicine is not currently covered through any traditional medical insurance. There have been some incredible breakthroughs over the past few years with implementing functional practices into the daily routine of Alzheimer’s patients. We would highly recommend you take the time to view the Memories for Life documentary on Prime Video. It gave us all great hope for Brian to challenge this disease. Many of you who have reached out to ask “What can I do to help?” We feel your prayers daily. However, one thing we know is that they will need financial resources to assist with care and day to day life. We have decided to start a page for Brian and his family to help offset the medical and other unexpected expenses.
