Support for Brianna’s Recovery
On April 15th, Brianna’s life was forever changed when she was struck by a van while walking her two beloved dogs, Polly and Ben. Brianna, 34 years old, suffered a traumatic brain injury and has been medically induced coma since the accident. She underwent an emergency craniectomy to remove part of her skull and relieve pressure on her brain. Brianna has been progressing slowly, and we are hopeful she will wake up soon. There is still a long road of recovery ahead for Brianna, her husband Kyle, and the rest of their family.
Brianna grew up in New Jersey and now lives in San Diego with Navy veteran Kyle as well as their two dogs, Polly and Ben. She works in Human Resources and is currently studying to become a veterinary technician to follow her passion for volunteering to help animals. Brianna had also recently taken up playing the cello in her free time.
Brianna is caring, loving, fun-spirited, and passionate about doing the right thing. She has always had a deep love for animals, often spending her spare time caring for cats and dogs.
Polly, one of two rescue dogs, was also injured in the accident and required emergency surgery to repair a broken femur and also suffered an internal bleed. Polly is now home and slowly starting to walk again and go outside.
Brianna is an incredible sister, daughter, wife, and friend whose warmth, kindness, and resilience have touched the lives of so many. As she begins her journey toward healing, she and her family will face significant emotional, physical, and financial challenges. Any support you can offer will go directly toward Brianna’s and the dogs ongoing medical care, rehabilitation, and recovery needs.
Thank you for keeping Brianna, Kyle, and their family in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
