My name is Alyssa, I’m Briannas little sister.

I’m starting this fundraiser to support Brianna and Avery financially during their unexpected stay in UC Davis, to take care of their newborn son Kymani as he is in recovery.

Brianna experienced a long and complicated labor that lasted over 48 hours before baby was born. Briannas broken water went unnoticed due to a slow leak, putting her and baby in danger. Due to the circumstance, baby Kymani and Brianna both went septic.

As Briannas labor progressed, she began to fall ill. Finally the doctors were able to figure out what was going on and decided to do an emergency delivery to get baby Kymani out as soon as possible.

Kymani Aziel Holley was born unresponsive on Friday, June, 18th 2021. After a few attempts, doctors were able to resuscitate him. He was quickly transferred to UC Davis to receive treatment and was soon diagnosed with HIE, a type of newborn brain damage caused by oxygen deprivation and limited blood flow.

We please ask that you respect the family’s privacy at this time, as this is a challenging season for them. We are receiving updates daily as the situation quickly evolves. Any information that they wish to share will be posted on Briannas Facebook page.
