Support Brian & Traci as They Grieve the Loss of Their Son
Donation protected
On August 8, 2024, Brian & Traci Abeyta lost their 10-year old son Lincoln to complications from epilepsy and Dravet Syndrome. It is not an exaggeration to say Lincoln was a ray of light. His infectious smile, his joyful and positive attitude, his bravery being only the 13th person to participate in a trial for Dravet Syndrome patients, his love of playing and watching sports (especially his Rockies and Broncos), and his bowl-you-over strength as he ran towards you to give you a hug were only a few of the characteristics we will all miss terribly.
While Brian & Traci have asked for donations to go to the Dravet Syndrome Foundation or to The Stink Bug Project , (an organization that pairs medically fragile children with companion dogs and is how Lincoln’s beloved Coco joined their family), many have asked how they can directly support them during their grieving process.
They have been so appreciative of the generosity people have shown through meals and other donations, but what we know is this process is going to be long and slow for them. There will be hard days ahead, especially around the holidays, so they are trying to make some plans to get away as they navigate all of these big firsts without Lincoln.
If you are looking for a different way to support this wonderful couple, we have set up this fund. All money raised will help them offset some of the travel expenses they will incur. (Note, if you have a vacation rental property and would be interested in allowing Brian & Traci to use it, please reach out. This would be a special gift to them and one they would sincerely appreciate).
Brian & Traci appreciate the outpouring of love, compassion, and support they have received from all those who have been touched by Lincoln’s life and story.
