I'm reaching out on behalf of my uncle, Brian Munson, who recently underwent open heart surgery. The procedure was a success, but the road to recovery is long — and it comes at a time when taking time off work isn’t really an option.

Brian is an independent contractor, which means if he’s not working, he’s not earning. With several weeks (if not months) of recovery ahead, he’s now facing the difficult reality of how to keep up with rent, bills, and daily expenses while focusing on healing.
