Port Huron lifelong resident Brian Mitchell suffered a brain aneurysm on July 9th and was transferred by EMS to McLaren Flint for surgery on his brain to stop the bleeding. A shunt to relieve pressure on his brain was placed the night of July 9th; coils were then placed on July 10th to stop the bleeding. Both surgeries were successful as far as the family knows.
Brian lived with his father and was the caregiver for him until his father passed away on June 16th. Brian put off his own health for many years to care for his father, and losing his father has now caused his brain aneurysm to burst. Prior to the passing of Brian’s father, his bank account was frozen due to suspicious activity because Social Security reported to Ken’s Union that he passed away 2 years prior, even though he hadn’t. Brian’s funds were getting deposited into that same account, so bills are piling up.
Any help you can provide for the Mitchell family so they can make sure Brian has a home to come home to would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your time and support!
