Support Schoolteacher Brian Lowery's Medical Recovery

Hi. My name is Brian Lowery. I'm a schoolteacher in Nevada. I've spent 21 years working for the Clark County School District. Up until last year, I was teaching in a classroom. But, due to medical events over the past two years (lymphedema, blood clots, an infarction in my groin that left permanent damage, infections, etc.), I can no longer teach in the classroom. I now teach online school, and it's great.

However, due to these lingering medical issues, I have been placed in a skilled nursing facility to rehab my legs and walk again. My insurance, UMR, has told me that I have exhausted my hospital days and that I must be discharged. I contracted COVID from a staff member at the hospital and was in quarantine for 12 days. During that time, I was not getting physical therapy. I am asking for this money to help pay out-of-pocket costs for my stay at this facility, as well as purchasing a lift chair for my home health care.
