Support Brian Green's Road to Recovery

My name is Oran Phillips. This is one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to write.

Five years ago, my wife and I moved into our first home. One of the first people to welcome us was our neighbor, Brian Green, who most people know as “Old Skool.” I had no idea then that he would become a brother to me.

Brian is a man who shows up. He listens. He checks in on my wife. He calls just to make sure you’re okay. I’ve watched him carry more weight than most people ever should. Medical issues of his own, caring for his disabled wife, helping raise his daughters and grandchildren, and even losing his cousin who moved in to help support the family. Through all of it, Brian stayed strong and never complained.

Brian is also a veteran. He fought for this country and then came home and kept fighting for his family.

A few nights ago, on his way home, Brian was riding his motorcycle when he was t-boned by a car. The injuries are severe and life-changing. He fractured both femurs, broke his pelvis, shattered his right hip, broke his right foot, and his left foot has to be amputated up to the knee. He also suffered a bruised lung, though doctors believe it will heal. He has already had surgery on both femurs and has multiple surgeries still ahead of him. He is currently in the ICU at Orange Park Medical Center.

Brian was the only one bringing in extra income to help cover the cost of living for his household. With him now unable to work and facing a long road of recovery, his family is under an enormous financial strain.

I’m asking for help to cover medical bills, everyday living expenses, transportation, rehabilitation, and whatever else comes with trying to rebuild life after something like this.

I also want to speak directly to bikers and veterans.

If you ride, you understand the bond. When one of ours goes down, we don’t turn our backs.

If you served, you understand what it means to stand shoulder to shoulder. Brian did his part for this country. Now he’s fighting the hardest battle of his life.

Brian would never ask for help, so I’m asking for him. If you can donate, share this, or keep his family in your prayers, it all matters more than you know.

Thank you for taking the time to read this and for standing with a good man and his family
