Hi, my name is Karen. I am helping raise money for Brian Bennetts and his family. On September 28th, 2025, Brian was involved in a side-by-side/deer accident which resulted in him being airlifted to St. Luke’s in Duluth for a neck/back injury. With several tests, x-rays and an MRI it was determined that he had fractured his neck, back and ribs and had to undergo neck surgery. On September 30th Brian had surgery and was placed in ICU for 6 days. He was transferred out of ICU yesterday, October 6th, where he will continue his recovery and begin extensive rehab. The surgery itself went well and they feel he will make a full recovery but his road to recovery will be long and trying. He will be in an in-patient acute therapy/rehab center for a month or more for rehab. Brian will continue physical therapy when he finally gets to come home but will be out of work for a total of 3-4 months. His wife Carolyn and daughter Abby will have a lot of driving back and forth on the weekends since Abby is in school and Carolyn will be returning to work. With Brian's job not having disability insurance, it puts them down to one income until he is able to go back to work, so any and all donations will go to help the family with medical costs left over from his insurance, gas, food & hotel stays when needed and to help cover regular monthly expenses at home while he is recovering.
