Hi to All that are visiting this page. This is a new gofundme established for Brian and Elaine Heisler. A previous gofundme had been created for them 2 years ago, after Brian had been diagnosed with stage 4 small cell neuroendocrine carcinoma to help cover impending medical expenses. That fund reached a bit over 3,000.00 which was wonderful, however, was a drop in the bucket of the expenses that have accrued for them since then.
We are deactivating that account and starting this new one for them. Here is an update on their situation since 2 years ago: In a nutshell, Brian has been through hell-2 years of radiation and chemotherapy with so many medical complications and other illnesses on top of that. Elaine has been steadfast by his side the entire time. As Brian has gotten progressively worse, she has taken him to countless medical appointments, managed his care and related issues, and strives to provide and enable as much quality of life for Brian as she can, all the while doing her very best to meet her responsibilities at her job as the Director of Rehabilitation at the facility where she works. She is an excellent therapist and wonderful coworker an any of us who work with her will tell you.
Now , 2 years later, Brian is exhausted from his battle. He is ready for peace. Elaine is exhausted as well due to their overwhelming life circumstances and deserves to be able to be with Brian for these precious remaining days. She should not have to worry about having to be at work in order to pay for the insurance that is only covering some of his extensive medical bills, the cost of food, utilities, gas to drive the 30 miles back and forth to the town they live in to try to keep their home somewhat managed, and all the other expenses that are causing her worry, anxiety, and massive stress. Please find it in your hearts to donate to Brian , who has lived a life of value and purpose, and Elaine, who always shows large and small kindnesses to others, in spite of what is going on in her own life, so that they are able to spend these days together focused on each other, and not on the worry and fear about their financial situation. Thank you all from the bottom of our hearts for any help you can give to Brian and Elaine. They mean so much to us.
