On March 3rd, Brett was involved in a car accident that left his vehicle totaled and required an overnight stay in the hospital. While doctors were running tests for his car accident-related injuries, they discovered something unexpected—a golf ball sized brain tumor in his left frontal lobe, dangerously close to his speech center.

Because of the size and location of the tumor, Brett will need to be awake during surgery so doctors can remove as much of the tumor as possible while preserving his speech.

The surgery is scheduled for April 29th, and afterward, Brett will face a challenging road of chemo, radiation, speech therapy, and physical rehabilitation over the next several months.

During this time, Brett will be out of work, and all of his recovery time will go unpaid. This has created a significant financial strain, as we work to cover medical out-of-pocket costs, car accident-related expenses, and everyday bills during his recovery.
