Aloha Friends and Family,
Reaching out to you with heavy hearts, but hopeful spirits. My brother, Brett, is facing the battle of a lifetime.
Following a routine blood test, last week, Brett has been diagnosed with Acute Undifferentiated Leukemia, an extremely rare and aggressive blood cancer. He was immediately admitted into the hospital and begins his first, high dose, round of chemotherapy today (6/23).
This relentless form of blood cancer requires multiple cycles of treatment. In addition to chemotherapy, Brett will need intensive immunotherapy and possible stem cell and/or bone marrow transplant in the coming months. He and his family face mounting medical costs for these life-saving treatments.

Brett is the sole provider for his family, as teacher (loved by his students) and owner of a small English speaking school (Big Island English) in Saitama, Japan.

Despite his illness, he remains hopeful and resilient, his strength and sense of humor inspiring to us all. I am truly amazed by my brother- his spirit is shining through.
Your generosity and kindness during this critical time for Brett means everything to us- we are eternally grateful!
