Support Brent Todd's Return Home for Recovery

On May 1st. Brent was admitted to the hospital in Laramie Wyoming for complications related to undiagnosed diabetes. What was supposed to be a couple of days in the hospital has turned into weeks with a long road to recovery ahead.

While recovering from diabetic ketoacidosis Brent became septic and developed a serious infection in his spine that has done irreversible damage to his spinal cord. He was transferred to a bigger hospital im Loveland CO to be under the care of a neurologist. Ultimately Brent made the difficult decision to not move forward with surgery due to the potential risks

With limited feeling and loss of motior skills from the waist down Brent will need to be transferred to an inpatient rehab facility. The length of time needed for rehab is unknown and without a support system in Colorado we need to get him transferred back to Michigan so he can be closer to family. The transportation would not be covered by insurance and would need to be paid out of pocket.
