My father is going to go through a very long, hard, and painful recovery. Although we are still uncertain if he will have permanent paralysis, extensive brain damage, or be mentally incapacitated; one thing that is certain, is that he will never be the same again. He will never regain all of his motor skills, his brain will never be completely functional again, and his speech will be permanently impaired. He will need extensive medical care, including speech and physical therapy. He needs months of inpatient rehab that will need to be paid in cash upfront for they will not accept him otherwise without health insurance. He is going to need a tracheostomy, a lot of medical equipment and medication (including wheelchair), and home care once he is released from months of inpatient rehab. The major operation, multiple CAT scans and ultra sounds, round the clock IV medication, and the hospital stay are going to be very expensive without insurance. He needs all of the financial and emotional support he can get. Any donation no matter how big or small is greatly appreciated. Every donation and share helps more then I can possibly express. My father, Brent Yager, recently suffered a very large bleeding brain mass, also known as a brain hemorrhage. This is a major life-threatening medical emergency that occurs when a blood vessel in the brain bursts or leaks. This happened in one of the major arteries in his brain. He underwent a major operation to remove the large mass and relieve the pressure on his brain. The surgeons are unsure if he will pull through or not. If he does survive, he will be in the ICU for a while, followed by a few months in an inpatient rehab center. There is a chance he may suffer from permanent paralysis or brain damage. There is also a possibility that he may never work again or need to be in a nursing home for the rest of his life. Unfortunately, he does not have short-term disability or health insurance through his employer.

The medical bills for the hospital stay, the surgeries, the medications in and out of the hospital, the ambulance ride, and the inpatient rehab are going to be very expensive. He will not have any income while he is in the hospital or during his stay at the inpatient rehab. He has a weekly car payment, a phone bill, and a monthly self-storage unit payment to make. He will also need money for a new apartment when he is released from the rehab center. The place he is at now closes for the winter, and he has to move out.
