On the morning of November 21st around 4:50 am, Brent Drain was involved in a bad accident. He had just loaded in McGhee, AR, and was heading to Louisiana. Not long after getting loaded and heading out of town, another semi-truck ran a stop sign. Brent was going highway speeds and was unable to stop his truck and had no choice but to “smoke him.” I got woken to the scariest phone call from Brent’s work telling me he had been in an accident but could not even tell me if he was alive. I paced my bedroom floor for almost an hour praying, “God, if you haven’t taken Brent home already, please Lord, just let me keep him a little longer.” Thankfully, the phone rang from the police department, and they told me he was alive and would be med-flighted to UAMS in Little Rock. Long story short, Brent is alive, and he can use any and all prayers. He has a long road to recovery. Brent has a compound fracture to his left arm, a compound fracture in his left leg (knee down is practically crushed), and his left hip is basically crushed. His right kneecap is broken.

For those of you that remember his wreck 10 years ago, that was all on the right leg!

Brent has already had multiple surgeries and blood transfusions. He will still need a bone transplant to his left leg and a skin graft. He is currently in surgery this morning to drain a large hematoma on his right leg.

Anyways, if you are still reading, please just keep him, his wife, and his 5 children in your prayers. This will be a long recovery, but we are praising God that his life was spared. His time on Earth is not done.
