On November 19th, the Boudreau family’s world changed forever when Brent — a fun-loving husband, devoted son, proud father, and adoring grandfather — suffered a stroke. Just three days later, he experienced a second, more severe stroke that dramatically impacted his life.

Brent spent a week in the ICU followed by six additional weeks in the hospital and is now continuing his fight in rehabilitation. The road ahead is uncertain, but his spirit remains strong. The man we all know and love is still there — quick with a smirk or perfectly timed eye roll. He lights up when friends visit and loves being surrounded by those who mean the most to him. At this time, he has no independent movement on his right side, and his speech remains extremely limited.

As the family adjusts to this life-altering reality, they are facing significant emotional and financial challenges — navigating complex insurance matters, exploring facilities to support Brent’s recovery, and preparing for major home modifications.

Kim has already taken time away from work and will continue to do so to care for Brent and manage the daily needs that arise. Medical expenses, lost income, rehabilitation costs, and future home renovations are adding up quickly.
