Hi Everyone!

As many of you know, our sweet Bren unexpectedly became very sick and had to be rushed in for emergency surgery due to a stomach obstruction. What started as vomiting quickly turned into a life-threatening situation that required immediate intervention to save her life.

The vet started out by trying the less invasive option of an endoscope to dislodge the obstruction with no success due to the severity. She was then rushed to immediate surgery.

She made it through surgery and is now in recovery, but the medical costs from the emergency visit, imaging, procedure, surgery, hospitalization, and medications have been overwhelming.

This sweet girl was not only diagnosed with an obstruction but also thrombocytopenia, which has made the recovery even more difficult and needing further follow-up appointments.

Bren has been my soul dog since the day we brought her home. She is the calm after a long shift, my cuddle buddy during the daytime when I’m sleeping. She is one of those angel dogs that unfortunately decided to eat the wrong thing.

We’re doing everything we can to help her heal and stay comfortable during recovery.
