My best friend Brenna, is 43 years old and is a single mother of 4 children ranging from the ages of 4-18 years of age. Her children are the loves of her life!! On February 1st 2024, Brenna started a new position as a speech therapist. On February 15th 2024, Brenna was diagnosed with Invasive Ductural Carcinoma in her breast. Since then she has been going through Chemothrapy and had a Double Mastectomy. The cancer is so advance that more treatment is needed after her surgery. Chemo has resumed and she will soon be undergoing Radiation also. Due to the side effects of Chemo and the cancer, Brenna has been unable to consistently work more than 10 hours a week. This past month, Brenna has been hospitalized 3 times. Being at a new job, Brenna has exhausted any benefits she had and is struggling to support her kids and herself, not to mention the medical bills that are piling up.
