Since my husband and my mother died last July, it's been a struggle to keep our heads above water. It feels like a "1 step forward, 2 steps back" proposition most of the time these days.

I fell behind on my rent last month while trying to get an issue with our gas being shut off dealt with. Under normal circumstances, I would be caught up by now. Because I work in student transportation which follows the school year schedule, I just finished my final full week of work for the summer. Unemployment won't begin for another 2-3 weeks, and it's less than half of what I earn from my job.

We need to come up with at least $750 within the next week. Because my landlord has begun the eviction process, I also need to pay his legal fees to stop this. Any help towards saving our home is a gift beyond measure, and my gratitude goes beyond words.
