Hi, my name is Brenda and I have had a setback. I am usually a very independent person and have been self-employed for close to ten years!! On Good Friday I was almost done with my morning client’s house when I fell down her stairs. The result was a broken hip! Since then I have had about every complication imaginable!! This includes a stroke, blood clots, a screen implanted to keep the clots from spreading, emergency surgery to save my legs, and now, weakness, pain, and lack of control of my right leg and hand/arm. I have also been told I have a hole in my heart!! I have a long road to recovery, and, at this point, am unable to work. The lack of my income has placed a big burden on our household.
