Support Brendan's Battle Against Cancer

Hello everyone,

 

I am Rachel one of Brendan’s close friends from Fergus, ON. As some of you may know, Brendan has recently been diagnosed with Stage 4 ‘DLBCL’ Lymphoma; which is a type of aggressive Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma. His fight continues as he begins treatment this coming week, having to complete 6 rounds of chemotherapy and radiation following those.

 

Brendan is a ray of sunshine in so many people’s lives. He is kind, generous and so very loving. During this time in his life, we are reaching out for the support of the community. Given the extent of his cancer, Brendan is no longer able to work and his mother (Carol Ann) is his primary caregiver (who will have to take time away from work to help with appointments/care). Brendan is currently enrolled in Gender Studies at Queen’s University, hoping to complete his final year at the end of treatment. Brendan is a creative person who aims to help people with his career; thus, I hope that with this fundraiser, we can help him and raise enough money to cover the family’s medical, transportation, medication, and general expenses.

 

Despite his diagnosis, Brendan continues to remain optimistic throughout treatment. His positive outlook on this troubling situation proceeds to make himself and those around him smile.
