Support Brenda Siminski's Road to Recovery

Donation protected
Hello, my name is Bree-Aschia Van Cleaf.

As many of you know, my mother, Brenda Siminski recently endured a catastrophic medical event.

On September 2nd, she suffered severe cardiac arrest. During her episode, she lost oxygen for several minutes which has caused damage to a number of organs including her brain.
Due to that, she has been diagnosed with Non-conclusive Status Epilepticus (NCSE).

On September 11th, she moved from Olean General Hospital to ECMC in Buffalo to further her treatment for NCSE and several other complications.

In this time, she has gone through a number of tests, scans and surgeries.
She will soon be moved to Select Specialty Hospital in Erie, where she will receive rehab services to start her journey of healing.

My mother is and always has been nothing less than a warrior. She has always been a caretaker and doer for more people than I can count, and has never expected or asked for anything in return, especially when it comes to Brené, George and myself. She is truly the epitome of selflessness, beauty, grace and unconditional love.
Her road to recovery is going to be long and hard. We have faith her unbreakable spirit will conquer this obstacle, just like all the others she has been faced with.

Due to her decline, her life and her immediate families lives have been flipped upside down. Unfortunately, maintaining her home and providing for her dependent son has become impossible while medical bills pile up.

We hope and pray she will be home and healthy sooner rather than later. Until her return home, I'm humbly writing this asking for help. Maintaining and funding trips has become impossible for our family.

My cash app is posted below as well.
Anything helps.

The more support, prayers and love, the better.
Thank you for reading.

**UPDATE Nov. 2nd**
My mother has been at SSH Erie since October 7th she has responded well to therapy and has made substantial progress.
On Oct. 16th she started to become somewhat alert and cognitive. That was the day we finally heard her voice and could communicate with her.
On Oct. 19th her trach was removed successfully and she began breathing, eating and talking on her own. She has gained some of her strength and weight, once she was put on a regular diet.
On Oct. 28th she was transferred to Ontario Center for Rehabilitation and Healthcare in Canandaigua, NY. She will continue treatment and therapy.

My mother has made great strides but her journey to recovery is nowhere near the end. My family and I have faith she will continue to fight and prevail over every injury and obstacle she has endured. If you know her, you know how strong she is. She's working and fighting so hard to get back to herself.
I would like to thank everyone who has reached out, donated, shared her GoFundMe and showed support in any way. My family and I are very appreciative and grateful to you all. Keep my mother in your thoughts, prayers and send all the good, healing vibes her way.
Thank you
