Help get Brenda a Service Dog for her MS Progression
Donation protected
Hello,
In 2023 my sister Brenda struggled with a series of health issues that led to her eventual diagnosis of multiple sclerosis.

Since then, she has had a relapse in her upper appendages that resulted in weakness, tingling, pain and more in her hands and arms. She's been through physical and occupational therapy to help her ability to do some of her day-to-day tasks, like tying her shoes and holding a pencil.
But even with improvements, Brenda is still in need of assistance in a lot of other simple tasks. Thanks to other symptoms like vertigo, severe fatigue, and numbness in her left foot there are days where she is bedridden. Other times, she might push herself past her limits and end up leaving events early, shopping trips unfinished, or entire chores undone. One day, she even sat on the floor at a Target because she pushed herself too far.

We want to get Brenda a service dog personally trained to help her steady her vertigo, get leverage on hefty items, open heavy doors, urge her to rest when she is close to fatigue, and alert anyone nearby if she is in need of any help.
A service dog would help Brenda regain some independence as well as some companionship. And in the case of further disease progression, a service dog will continue to be trained to help her.
Please help my sister get her independence back.
