A Journey Through Diagnosis and Treatment

Brenda Hausner desperately needs our community's help. Brenda and her husband, Ferenc, both have deep roots in the Delavan and Williams Bay communities. They have two lively & supportive young children.

Brenda is fighting off cancer that has metastasized and she needs help financially to support her medical and natural needs.

In September 2022, Brenda was diagnosed with breast cancer, a journey that began with courage and faith. We want to thank all of you who supported Brenda and the Hausners during that time. She initially underwent low-dose chemotherapy and a cryoablation procedure, which seemed to work. However, during a follow-up visit, she learned that the cancer had returned and spread to her lungs. Brenda made the tough decision to leave her family for three weeks to pursue immunotherapy treatment in Mexico, but unfortunately, this was not successful. She returned home and tried another round of chemo, but the cancer remained stubborn.

Then, when Brenda began experiencing severe pain, a visit to the ER revealed a cancer-related compression fracture in her spine, requiring immediate surgery. Since then, Brenda has undergone radiation to the spine and started a different immunotherapy treatment along with hormone blockers. Brenda is able to sit up, for only a few hours, before the pain begins. She is also exploring natural and holistic therapies to aid her healing—modalities that come with a significant cost. Brenda’s faith remains steadfast through these trials, and the outpouring of love and support from her community has been a tremendous source of strength for her and her family. She's an amazing mother, wife and Christian. As many of you know, her faith shines through every conversation, and her positivity is contagious. We want to keep that positivity and healing flowing without the stress of medical bills, or the pressure to bring in her typical income.
