My best friend and soul dog, Breezy, will be undergoing emergency mastectomy surgery tomorrow morning.

Over the past six months, Breezy has developed multiple mammary lumps that eventually formed into one very large mass, which has now opened into a painful wound. Seeing her go through this has been heartbreaking, and surgery is the only option to give her relief and a chance at a long, healthy life.

I am trying to raise these funds as quickly as possible so we can move forward with her planned surgery in the morning and give her the care she urgently needs.

Anyone who knows Breezy knows she isn’t just a dog. She loves with her whole heart and has an incredible way of sensing people’s emotions, especially her momma’s. She even gives hugs on command. Breezy has saved me in more ways than I can count. During my transplant journey and some of the darkest moments of my life, Breezy was my constant, my comfort, and a huge reason to keep going.

I will do everything in my power to give her the life she deserves. Unfortunately, the cost of this emergency surgery has come as a shock, and asking for help doesn’t come easily. Any support, big or small, would mean the absolute world to me and to Breezy. I never want to be in a position where I have to choose between paying bills and saving my dog’s life. Anyone who knows me knows I’d be homeless before I ever chose finances over my pup.
