Hello, I am Kelsey. I am Breelynn’s nanny (Katelyn’s sister).

A few weeks back, Katelyn started noticing changes in Breelynn’s eye, such as drifting, slight reflection, and her iris getting darker. She took her to her doctor, and she was referred to an ophthalmologist who couldn’t get her in until the 30th of June. As time went by, we noticed things getting rapidly worse. Saturday (June 14th), everyone was over for a BBQ, and we all noticed her eye was staying dilated, and the white glare was extremely noticeable. That night, the decision was made to take her to the ER. The doctors immediately wanted a CT done, and it came back as they expected. A mass was found behind her eye. She was admitted and was scheduled for an MRI the next morning. The MRI came back with the news no one wants to get. Breelynn’s mass is a cancer called retinoblastoma. She is being sent to St. Jude in Memphis.

I am creating this GoFundMe to help support any financial hardship on this difficult journey, such as traveling expenses, meals, things they may need, Breelynn’s needs, or anything to bring her comfort or joy, and help support their son, who will be staying with family during this time.
