Hi everyone, I’m Shellie. My son, Breck Darnell, has been accepted to NYLF Engineering at Yale University in New Haven, CT (July 24–31, 2026). This is a real opportunity for him to learn hands-on engineering, build confidence, and connect with other motivated students who are serious about STEM.
Breck has earned this. He’s an Honors and CCP student with a 4.8 GPA across high school and college coursework, has made Dean’s List, has been involved in Honor Society, volunteers when he can, and plays violin. He works hard, stays focused, and doesn’t take opportunities like this for granted.
We do have grants being applied toward the total cost, but there is still a remaining balance we need to cover quickly to keep his spot secure and everything on schedule. I’m asking for help to bridge that gap so finances aren’t the reason he misses something that could shape his future.
If you can donate, thank you. If you can’t, please share. Even small donations add up fast when people come together, and a share helps us reach someone who can help. I’ll post updates as we get closer to the program and after Breck returns.
Thank you for helping us get him there.
