Anxiety has shaped my life in profound ways.

That experience, and knowing how many others share it, inspired me to write BREATHE, a short film about the exhausting invisibility of what so many of us carry silently, and what happens when the people who love us try, desperately and imperfectly, to understand.

BREATHE tells the story of a woman whose anxiety makes everyday life feel like drowning, yet finds the one place she can finally breathe is somewhere she shouldn't be able to breathe at all. It's a film about the paradox of anxiety, the impossible weight of appearing normal, and a husband who loves his wife deeply but cannot see what she carries. In a single desperate act to understand her world, he discovers what it truly feels like to be her, and neither of them will ever be quite the same.

This film is deeply personal to me. And I hope it can help open up the kinds of conversations that so many of us are desperate to have but don't always know how to start.

BREATHE is designed to do more than move audiences. Through community screenings, post-film discussions, and partnerships with mental health organizations, it will become a lasting resource that reduces stigma, opens doors, and connects people with the support they need.
