Bread and Buttered Bakery is a small women-run business that has become an important part of the community. Over the last year, the women behind the bakery have faced so much, both personally and professionally, and still they have kept showing up every single day to fight for their business and serve others. Recently, they have been hit with major equipment problems, including issues with their commercial fridges, other broken equipment, and now their specialty bread oven has stopped heating. For a small bakery, these setbacks are overwhelming and make it incredibly hard to keep operating successfully.

This fundraiser will help Bread and Buttered Bakery replace the broken oven and other essential equipment they need to keep the business running. Supporting this bakery also means supporting people who have already given so much back. When SNAP benefits were temporarily suspended during the government shutdown, the women who run the bakery donated countless hours and even some of their own money to help feed the community. They set up a food pantry outside their shop and created hundreds of free lunches for neighbors in need. Now it is time for the community to come together for them.
