Our sweet 7-month-old son, Braylen, is facing a major surgery on April 13th at Children’s Hospital in Milwaukee.

Braylen will be undergoing a complex, 8-hour procedure to repair a rare condition affecting his bladder and urinary system. His surgery will include reconstruction to help his bladder function properly, correction of reflux to protect his kidneys from infections and damage, and additional repairs to support his long-term health and development.

As part of his recovery, Braylen will need to be placed in a spica cast for 6 weeks to allow his body to heal properly. We are preparing for a hospital stay of at least a week, followed by ongoing care and monitoring.

As parents, this is incredibly overwhelming, but we are staying strong for Braylen and focusing on getting him through this safely. We also have two other children at home, and being away from them during this time adds another layer of emotional and logistical challenge for our family.

We will be traveling to Milwaukee and staying near the hospital during his surgery and recovery. Because of this, we will be facing unexpected expenses including lodging, meals, travel, and time away from work.

We are asking for help to ease this financial burden so we can focus all of our time and energy on being there for Braylen when he needs us most.
