HELP BRAYDEN CONTINUE RECEIVEVING TREATMENT

Brayden is doing remarkably well after suffering 2 different types of strokes, several brain bleeds, two embolizations for an annuresym (coil and then glue) and having to learn how to walk and use his left side again - all within the last 8 weeks.

I am greatful to announce that - after all that - his annuresym is gone. Now we still have to tackle two AVMs. He had radiation for the larger AVM in October and will go back to Boston Childrens Hospital next summer to recieve radiation on the second, smaller one. Your donations will continue to help with all the traveling (we need atleast 4 more expected trips to Boston) and housing expenses.

Backstory:
You would never know this smiley, angelic, blue-eyed second grader had a condition so rare fewer than 100 cases have been reported since its description in 1937. Wyburn-Mason Syndrome is a non-hereditary congenital disease that causes abnormal blood vessels to develop. Brayden not only has one, he has four; two in the brain in a non-operable location, one in the cheek and one in his retina. All of these can rupture, bleed, clot, result in seizures, strokes or aneurysms.

I spent my entire summer seeking medical advice and possible treatment for Brayden from doctors all over the Untied States. We finally met with a team from Boston Children’s Hospital and the back-and-forth trips immediately began last June. I was surprised when the team said he could receive treatment; an option that was not presented to us by other hospitals.

Brayden’s rare and life-threatening condition requires urgent, ongoing treatment and your help is needed to cover the mounting medical expenses, travel expenses and housing. Brayden has many more visits to Boston in his near future as well as another radiation treatment next summer for his AVMs.

What do we need from you –
* donations will cover housing for Brayden, his sister, Jayne (their God-mother) and I while we stay in Boston. We are currently on the waitlist for hospital housing, but the chance of being chosen is extremely slim and the cost to stay in Boston during Red Sox season is egregious. Donations will also go towards food, gas, other travel expenses, medical costs, and to help elevate expenditures while I take time from work during Braydens treatment. As an educator, I spent the summer traveling to Boston with Brayden, leaving me unable to work and now I must take time off of work for him to seek more medical treatment. As a single mom, this is alot to incur.

Thank you to all who have been praying for him, sending positive messages, and asking about his well-being. We will not stop fighting for Brayden. I will never give up.
