Support Brave Kids at Doernbecher

Last year was such a success and the impact stayed with me in a way I still feel in my chest. The way people showed up for children they will never meet reminded me that tenderness still exists in this world. It mattered. It mattered so much.

Once again we are doing it.
Because these kids deserve every bit of light we can carry into a space that holds so much fear and uncertainty.

This holiday season, we are delivering toys to the oncology floor at Doernbecher Children’s Hospital. I remember those days with Ronan so vividly. The long hours in a hospital room. The thick air that never seemed to move. The way the holidays felt muted and heavy, like the rest of the world was spinning while we were trapped in a place where time didn’t feel real. I remember the weight of it all. The exhaustion. The hope. The heartbreak. The way a small act of kindness could feel like someone handing you a lifeline.

So many children there are spending their days in rooms where no child should ever have to spend their childhood. They should be home in soft pajamas, tearing into gifts, running through their living rooms. Instead they are surrounded by machines and medications and parents doing everything they can to hold it together.

If you would like to be part of this, we would be so grateful. Every donation on GoFundMe helps us bring comfort, warmth, and a reminder to these families that they are not forgotten in the middle of the hardest season of their lives. All donations are fully tax deductible. Thank you so much for any amount you can give.
