As many of you know, our beloved Braulio Medina has recently suffered a medical setback. Braulio experienced a stroke on the right side of his medulla, and as is the case in about 20% of strokes, the reason for the stroke is unknown. Right now, Braulio's medical team is focusing on his recovery and rehabilitation, and he has a long road ahead.

Braulio serves many roles at Ventura Charter School. He is our amazing lead custodian who keeps our campus looking clean and inviting, and our guardian in the parking lot, keeping everyone safe and traffic moving smoothly. All the while, he listens to music, dances, and greets everyone with a smile—hugging babies and puppies alike! Braulio is one of the biggest cheerleaders at VCS, greeting students, parents, siblings, and co-workers every morning. He makes everyone feel seen and valued, and his positive energy is felt throughout our community.

Now it is our turn to help out our dear friend Braulio. Funds raised will go directly toward covering any related medical costs and household expenses for Braulio and his family during this challenging time.
