My name is Mariah and I am starting this GoFundMe for my best friend, Brandy Medford.

If you know Brandy and her beautiful family, they never ask for help, but life has taken an unexpected turn for her family and has left them feeling overwhelmed and uncertain. Recently, Brandy was diagnosed with a tumor, which hit her and her family hard, and brought on many emotions, challenges, and fears of the unknown that she and her family are now facing. They were recently blessed with their baby girl Navey and had plans of planning their wedding. Life unfortunately had other plans that now have to take priority, which is getting Brandy the best care she needs.

As her family navigates this journey, she will truly need the support of her loved ones and community. Your contributions will help provide financial stability so Brandy can focus on what matters most right now, which is her health and her family.

8/5/24 - Brandy's beautiful family was blessed with their baby girl Navey. Ramey and Brandy now have 3 beautiful children.

8/31/24 - Brandy woke up with double vision. It did not get better.

9/3/24 - Brandy went to the Urgent Care, and they wanted her to immediately go to the ER. She then went to the ER in Durango where they did blood work and an MRI. She was told that everything looks great but seems to be Cranial Nerve VI (six) Palsy. They said it should fix itself in a couple of months. They said an eye patch may help, so she did just that, but it did not help.

*September & October - Brandy went to the eye doctor and everything looked good on all the tests and images of her eyes.

*December - Brandy went to Durango for 4 visits with an Osteopathic Doctor but saw no change in her eyes.

*1/13/2025 - Brandy met with a Neurologist. He looked back on her very first MRI and saw something he wasn't quite sure of. He ordered another MRI & CT Scan.

2/3/2025 - Brandy got her MRI done and they found a tumor.

2/4/2025 - Brandy had her CT Scan done.

2/24/2025 - Brandy met with a Neurosurgeon in Denver to go over the next steps, which will be surgery to remove the tumor.

Right now, she is waiting on her surgery date, and once the tumor is removed, they will run tests, and what comes next is unknown for now. We will keep everyone updated as more information and appointments come.
