We are coming together to support someone who has spent her career supporting others. Brandy is a beloved kindergarten teacher and a deeply valued member of the GSA community. On December 13, her life changed suddenly when she suffered an unexpected stroke at home. Thanks to quick emergency care, Brandy received immediate medical attention, and now her focus is on recovery.

Brandy is currently receiving intensive rehabilitation care at Mercy South Rehabilitation Center in St. Louis, MO. While she is making progress through determination and hard work, her medical team has made it clear that returning to the classroom will require time, therapy, and healing. Right now, her full attention needs to be on regaining strength, mobility, and independence before she can return to the work she loves so deeply.

This fundraiser is intended to help ease the very real financial pressure that comes with a prolonged medical recovery. Donations will be used to assist with essential living needs such as housing costs, transportation expenses, medical related necessities, and basic day to day bills while Brandy is unable to work. The goal is simple. To give her stability and peace of mind so she can focus fully on rehabilitation and healing, not financial stress.

Anyone who knows Brandy knows how much heart she brings to her classroom. She pours her energy, patience, and compassion into her students, helping shape young lives at their most formative stage. Her absence has been felt deeply by her students, fellow teachers, and the families she serves. The kindness she shows every day is now being returned to her in this moment of need.
